How Mercari fees work
Mercari's fee structure is the simplest of the six: a flat 10% selling fee on the item price plus whatever shipping the buyer pays you, charged only when an item actually sells (listing is always free). Since January 6, 2025, that 10% is the whole seller-side cost — Mercari folded its old $0.50 + 2.9% payment processing charge into the fee, so there's no separate processing line for new or updated listings. Mercari also charges buyers a 3.6% Buyer Protection fee on top of the price they pay, but that comes out of the buyer's pocket, not yours, so it never touches your payout.
